URBAN DAWN — IS AN ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL PROJECT BY CURATOR19.90
URBAN DAWN WAS CREATED TO BREAK THE NEGATIVE IMAGE OF A COUNTRY, SHOWING THE WORLD THAT THE MEDIA CAN BE PRESENTING DIFFERENT INFORMATION FROM REALITY
URBAN DAWN IS THE STREET AND URBAN SHOW THAT COLLECTS EACH YEAR FROM 30 TO 50 ARTISTS FROM OVER THE WORLD INCLUDING LOCAL STREET ART STARS. DURING THE MONTH OF THE EXHIBITION, CURATOR19.90 BRINGS INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS TO SHOW THEIR ARTWORKS, BEAUTIFY THE CITY WITH MURALS AND DO SOCIAL WORK WITH CHILDREN, REFUGEES, ANIMALS ETC
THE FIRST URBAN DAWN TOOK PLACE IN 2015 IN ALMATY, KAZAKHSTAN. THE EXHIBITION LOCATED IN A MULTIFUNCTIONAL COMPLEX OF VILLA BOUTIQUES AND RESTAURANTS WAS A HUGE SUCCESS WITH OVER 2500 VISITORS THROUGHOUT THE MONTH. ARTISTS AS BASE23, MORTEN ANDERSEN, RUNE
CHRISTENSEN, CAMILLE ADRA WERE INVITED TO ALMATY TO VISIT SCHOOLS, CANCER CENTERS, AND THE ZOO OF ALMATY IN ORDER TO GIVE WORK SHOPS AND RAISE MONEY FROM THEIR ARTWORKS
EACH YEAR URBAN DAWN WILL TAKE PLACE IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY AND WILL FEATURE A LEADING ARTIST FROM THE PREVIOUS HOST COUNTRY. WHEN SELECTING A NEW HOST CITY CURATOR19.90 ALSO LIKES TO REFLECT ON THE PARTICIPATING ARTISTS FROM THE CURRENT EXHIBITION
